그것이 불빛 같은 것이었으면 좋겠네

밤기차를 타고

멀리 여행을 떠나는 사람들에게
따스한 위안을 줄 수 있는 불빛 같은 것

그 불빛 하나로
깜깜한 밤을 지새는 사람에게
새벽 여명을 기다릴 수 있게 하는
한 줄기 소망 같은 것

사랑이라는 것
그것이 나무그늘 같은 것이었으면 좋겠네

힘겨운 삶의 짐을 지고 가다

지친 사람들에게
잠시 쉬었다 갈 수 있게 하는 나무 그늘

그 무성한 잎새 아래 땀을 식히다
멀리 바라보는 석양은 또 얼마나 아름다운가

사랑이라는 것
그것이 내 삶의 쉼표 같은 것이었다가

마침내
마지막 가는 길에 손 흔들어주는
만장(挽丈) 같은 것이었으면 좋겠네
